THE ALPS BIOGRAPHY
Tears in the Alps
The Alps are a South London based guitar pop indie band who found moderate success in the mid noughties. Currently hibernating, half the band can be found playing with folk punk trouble makers, Skinny Lister.
The Alps debut single 'World At War' claimed Gigwise.com's single of the week - "A tale of yearning for that elusive loved one, it's surprisingly optimistic and stylish stuff." The band were supported by Radio 1 and Xfm playing two live sessions in 2005 before appearing at the Reading festival on the same bill as Graham Coxon, BMRC and The Futureheads.
The Alps debut album 'Something I Might Regret' was produced by Dave Allen (The Cure, Depeche Mode) released in 2008 and the band have been dormant since early 2009. Tears in the Alps is a collections of early demos and radio tracks which has recently been made available.
The Alps are Daniel Heptinstall, Sam Brace, David Edwards and Hezi Yechiel.
